He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard "Dick" Meadows and Arvinia Shoots Meadows; his son Duane Meadows; his siblings, Priscilla "Pat" Shipman and Louis "Sonny" Meadows; and his grandparents, Oscar "Guy" and Georgia Lee McKinney Shoots.
He is survived by: his granddaughters, Jennifer and Susan; his wife Wilma Ary Powell; his daughters, Jennifer Ridge (Chad) of Edinburgh and Susan Gosman (Tommy) of Madison, Indiana; his grandchildren, Corey, Kevin, Tommy III, Amberly, Brooklyn, Seth and Chandler; his great grandchild Waverly; his brother-in-law Steve Shipman of Madison, Indiana; and his nephew Howard Shipman of Madison, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be made to the fund to care for his dog, Bambi, or to the Jefferson County Animal Shelter.
