He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred D. Helms and Louise May Dewitt Helms; and his sister Ruth Helms (Sue Jones). He is survived by: his daughters, Tina and Ryann; and his sister Rebecca Schmitt of Marengo, Indiana. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
