Leota May Corya Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leota May Corya of Madison, Indiana, who passed away on January 18, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Garland Fox and Irma Fox (Oppelt); her husband Roy Lee Corya Sr.; her daughter Patricia Corya; her siblings, Phillip, Lester Fox, Betty Garvey and Wilma Jones; and her great grandchild Naomi Spencer.
She is survived by: her children, Roy Lee Corya Jr. of Madison, Betty Spencer (Charlie) of Paris Crossing, Kathy McPeek (Charlie) of North Vernon and Doris Graham (Marshall) of Liberty; her siblings, Jacob Fox (Sue) of Graham, Arthur Fox (Joyce) of Cleveland, Tennessee and Eloyse Money of Hymera; and her grandchildren, Angela Paliotta (Mark) of Clarksville, Carrie Koehler (Jason) of Madison, Amanda Heatwole (Nicholas) of Yuma, Charles Spencer (Rupa) of Hanover, Emma McPeek of North Vernon, Brooke Grace (Tyler) of Columbus, Amy Huntsman (Jeremy) of Lebanon, Matthew Graham (Stephanie) of Van Buren and Sara Elgin (Craig) of North Banded, Oregon. She is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home (420 S State St, North Vernon, IN 47265). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at the Bear Creek Cemetery.
Memorials may be made in honor of Leota through the funeral home to Gentiva Hospice.
