He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Willie" Goodin and Emily Goodin (Green); his wife Viola Goodin; and his sons, Ricky D. Goodin, Melvin Goodin and Roger Goodin.
He is survived by: his daughter Carolyn Kay Reed (John "Joe") of Madison; his brother Harvey Goodin of Pineville, Kentucky; his daughter-in-law Mary Lou Goodin of Madison; and his grandchildren, Greg Cline, Emily Goins and Cory Goodin. He is also survived by six great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
