He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence Belle Ford Yager and Nelson Lee Yager; his sisters, Patty Hardwick and Betty Corman; his son Trevor Joe Yager; and his brother Benny Yager.

He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Marie "Kay" Britton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
