She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Eugene Bates, Sr. and Dorothy Frances Tingle Bates; her brother Raymond E. "Buster" Bates, Jr.; and her husband Archie Allen Taylor. She is survived by: her granddaughter Joan; her daughter Melissa A. Howell (Robb Osborn) of Madison, Indiana; her grandchildren, Peyton Howell and Jackson Howell; her siblings, Judy Lindsay (Bob) of Carrollton, Kentucky, Carolyn Brown (David) of Lexington, Kentucky and Noble Bates (Jan) of Carrollton, Kentucky; and her siblings-in-law, Ronald Taylor of Louisville, Kentucky and Lynda Bates of Carrollton, Kentucky. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
