He was predeceased by: his mother Minnie Ethel Davis Dunlap; his spouse Shirley Mae Poe; his father Robert Price Dunlap; his children, Rita Dunlap and Timothy Lee Dunlap; his siblings, Buford W. Dunlap, Bobby J. Dunlap and Geneva Dunlap Winters; his stepson James H. Butler, Jr.; and his stepmother Zelma Hall Dunlap.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carolyn Rector of Madison and Gloria Bookser (Bart) of Louisville, Kentucky; his close friend Madonna Robbins; his stepdaughters, Debbie Leland (Pastor David Leland) of Madison and Cindy Harmon (Rick) of Bedford, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Carmen, Misty, Shanah, Tracy and Michael; and his great grandchildren, Cameron, Michaela, Brianna, Austin, Ethan, Kailyn, Brandon, Emma, Josiah, David, Felicia, Whitney and Allie. He is also survived by several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
