He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlton Roosevelt Byrd and Ester Nealey Byrd; and his brother Larry Byrd. He is survived by: his girlfriend Nancy Barnes of Madison, Indiana; his daughter Madison Byrd Hines of Tabor City; his stepchildren, Vanessa Duke of Madison, Indiana, Calvin Shane Barnes of LaGrange and Daniel Barnes of Madison, Indiana; and his brothers, Terry Byrd of Tabor City and Tony Byrd of Tabor City. He is also survived by 12 step grandchildren; 5 step great-grandchildren.
