James Carroll Shepherd Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 30, 2024, at the age of 89, James Carroll Shepherd of Madison, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kathryn E. Gassert Shepherd and Martin Thomas Shepherd; his brothers, Marvin Lanier Shepherd, Norman Thomas Shepherd and William Joseph "Billy Joe" Shepherd; and his parents-in-law, Thelbert Black and Marcella Wilkerson Black.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Elizabeth Black Shepherd of Madison, Indiana; his children, James Michael "Mike" Shepherd (Linda) of Hanover, Jeffery "Jeff" Carroll Shepherd (Mary Ann) of Lexington, Indiana and Janine "Jan" Carol Spry (Brian) of Madison, Indiana; and his brother-in-law Jim Black (Mickey) of Marlboro, Massachusetts. He is also survived by his sisters and a brother.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hope Valley Church or the Sharon Hill Cemetery, or the Kent Fire Department.
