He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Ashby and Viola Ashby (Goins); and his wife Joan Carol Ashby (Bott). He is survived by: his son James "Joey" Ashby of Madison; his stepdaughter Kimberly "Jo" Bott; his grandchildren, AtreyU Brandon Ashby and Tjon Miguel Ashby; and his siblings, Benjamin Ashby (Barb) of Hanover, Richard Ashby of Jasper, Indiana and Betty Walters of Madison.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Lytle Welty Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Vail Chapel (117 Holt Dr, Madison, IN 47250). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 1:15 PM at the Fairmount Cemetery.
