He was predeceased by: his parents, Wendell Bennett and Gertrude Oxley Bennett; his son Dana William "Will" Bennett; and his siblings, Wilbur Lee Bennett, Wendell Bennett, William Otto Bennett, Dwight Emerson Bennett, Gary Elmer Bennett, Genieve Clementine Bennett Luz, Corrine Bennett and Marcella Clifford.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Ann Harmon; his caregiver Jessica Leap of Madison, Indiana; his children, Gerald Everett Bennett, Jr. of Jeffersonville, Dale Allen Bennett of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Terri Ann Holder (Tony) of Cadiz, Kentucky; and his siblings, Norma Dean Scudder of Centerville, Mary Amos of North Vernon, Rose Marie Bennett Wilcutts of Centerville, Tennessee and Harry Bennett of Suffner, Florida. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
