He was predeceased by: his parents, Delmer Brown and Elsie Arlene Absher Brown; his stepmother Vina Kathleen Brown; his sister Barbara Martin; his uncle Tommy Absher; his parents-in-law, Albert and Betty Hertz; his brothers-in-law, Michael Hertz and Jim Wakefield; and his nephews, Joe Hertz, Drew Thorne and Greg Jester.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann "Pat" Hertz Brown of Madison, Indiana; his children, Jeffery Brown (Denise) of Madison, Josh Ferguson (Kayla) of Madison, Indiana and Brandi Bivens (Matt Shelley) of Madison, Indiana; his grandchildren, Alexis, Brianna, Trenton, Abby, Kasen, Kynley and Dustin (Kyleen); his great grandchildren, Jasper, Josiah, Delphia and Joseph; his sister Karen Profitt (Ralph) of Whitesburg, Kentucky; his siblings-in-law, Howard Martin, Bernard Hertz (Patricia), Thomas Hertz, Linda Wakefield, Theresa Kleopfer, Mary Hertz and Joyce Terrell (James); and his close friend Blain White (Angie). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
