Carlisle and Norma Jean Carlisle; his stepchildren, Linda Susan Massie and Charles William Hyden; his daughter-in-law Kathy Hyden; his grandchildren, Henry Martin Finney, John Lee Hayes Sr., Chelsea Breeden and Amanda Hendricks; and his siblings, Dorothy Bess North, Emmaline Carlisle, Nannie Jean Carlisle Morgan, Billy Moore Carlisle, Gerald L. "Buddy" Carlisle, Febraury and Buford Barkley Carlisle.
He is survived by: his wife Ella Louise Ward; his children, William Edward "Eddie" Carlisle of Madison, Dwight Eugene "Tex" Carlisle (Cindy) of Madison, Indiana, Diane Christine Hamm of Madison and Kim Annette Finney of Madison, Indiana; his stepdaughter Brenda Charlene Adams of Madison, Indiana; his son Donald Hyden of Madison, Indiana; and his son-in-law Kenny Massie of Madison, Indiana. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren; his 29 great grandchildren; his numerous great great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
