She was predeceased by: her parents, Alice Marcellia DeBurger Bolton and Daniel Alex Bolton; her husband Charles Edward "Eddie" Brooks, Jr.; and her sons, Murel Eugene Brooks and Christopher D. Brooks.
She is survived by: her daughter Tamaira Charlene "Tammy" Brooks Rea (Kelly) of Madison, Indiana; her grandchildren, Brad Rea (Ashley) of East Enterprise, Eddie Ray Brooks (Jorrica) of Madison, Indiana, Candace S. Brooks Gil (Julio) of Madison and Crystal D. Brooks of Madison, Indiana; her great grandchildren, Terrington Brooks, Timbelynn Brooks, Julianna Gil, Julio Christopher Gil, Jazlyn Gil and Nova Barrett; her brother Robert Bolton (Karen) of Madison, Indiana; and her siblings-in-law, Marilyn Mathews of Hanover, Shirley Reed of Wisconsin, Elizabeth Wehner (Larry) of Madison, Indiana and James D. Brooks of Lexington, Indiana. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
