He is survived by: his children, Ashleigh Hamilton (Brent) of Sellersburg, Aubray Pruitt (William) of Madison, Erin Schachterle of Battle Creek, Michigan and Daniel Curtis Smitley of Anderson, Indiana; his grandchildren, Aurliana and William; his siblings, James Earl Smitley (Lisa) of Lexington, William Keith Smitley of Hanover, Indiana, Donna Mae Smitley of Madison and Nancy Spivey of Madison, Indiana; and his sister-in-law Donnette Smitley Webster of Florida. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
