He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale "Tack" Thurston and Frances "Barney" McComas Thurston; his wife Judith "Judy" Dianne Wagner Thurston; and his sister Kay Tingle. He is survived by: his son Danny Dale Thurston, Jr. (Jackie) of Madison, Indiana; his grandchildren, Danny Dale "Trey" Thurston III (Pam) of Harraget, Patrick "Ryan" Thurston (Addison Nolan) of McCordsville, Indiana and Trisha Dianne Thurston (Zander Steele) of Charleston; his siblings-in-law, Janet Dostal of Longmont, Colorado and Rick Tingle of Beech Grove, Indiana; and his nephew Ron Dostal of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
