He is survived by: his mother Rosemary Maughn Hicks of Somerset, Kentucky; his wife Keth Erin Zimmerman Hicks of Madison, Indiana; his children, Matthew Hicks (Dionne) of Somerset, Kentucky and Amanda Olson (Raj) of Arden; his father-in-law Johnny Benfield of Louisville, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Dexter and Cannon; his brother David Hicks (Tammy) of Lexington, Kentucky; his brothers-in-law, John Benfield (Rachel) of Louisville, Brian Benfield (Amanda) of Lanesville and Greg Benfield of Louisville, Kentucky; and his uncle Pete Adams of Apalachiocola, Florida. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
