He was predeceased by: his parents, Katherine Schott and George Schott of Alexandria; and his siblings, George and Susie Bayne. He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his children, Ben Schott (Carrie), Chris Schott, Misty McCord (Cliff), Cathy Welch (James), Bobby Smith, Melissa Baum (Doug) and Julie McCord (Brad); his grandchildren, Trey Merryman, Hyder Baldwin (Gary), Carter Schott, Samantha Schott, Riley Schott, Payton Baum, Brennan McCord, Gatlin Schott, Kessler Welch and Jamecey Welch; and his pet Peanut.
Because of Covid protocols a graveside service officiated by Pastor Rick Schoeff with military honors will be conducted at I. O. O. F. Cemetery in Alexandria, Indiana at 11 a. m, Saturday, January 15, 2022.
