He was predeceased by: his father Thomas Felix Gunter; his stepfather William Farrell Stephens, Sr.; his grandparents, Simon and Rachel Kirby; his uncles, Dewell Kirby, Denvil "Dank" Kirby and Lowell "Bugs" Kirby; his aunt Rose Wheeler; and his godson Jacoby Johnson.
He is survived by: his mother Della G. Kirby Marts of Lexington, Indiana; his wife Tracy Dawn Tucker Gunter of Madison, Indiana; his daughter Cherokee DeLany Gunter of Madison, Indiana; his stepchildren, Lawrence W. Mikesell, Jr. (Natasha) of Greenwood, Austin M. Mikesell (Sara) of Franklin, Indiana and Casey K. Hilt of Madison, Indiana; his godson Jeremiah Johnson (Jae) of Madison, Indiana; his stepgrandchildren, Lyra and Carter; his brothers, Thomas Anthony "Tony" Gunter (Cindy) of Owensboro, Kirby Cheynan "Cheyne" Gunter (Tina Robin) of Lexington and William Farrell Stephens (Jessica) of Jacksonville, Florida; his uncle Billy Kirby (Eva) of Hanover, Indiana; and his aunts, Mary Kelley (Mike) of Madison and Carol Kirby. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
