She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl James and Lucy May Harmon (Carter); her son Melvin E. King, Jr.; and her former husband Melvin E. King, Sr.. She is survived by: her daughter Debra; her son-in-law Michael Knobel of St. Peters, Missouri; her son Michael King of Jeffersonville, Indiana; and her siblings, Jenny Richmond of Marriottsville, Maryland and Jerry Harmon of Milton, Kentucky. She is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
