She was predeceased by: her parents, James Allen Meade and Buena Vista Meade; and her siblings, Dallas M. Meade and Sharon G. Harvey (Meade). She is survived by: her husband Edward L. Carter; her daughters, Tammy L. Meade of Dallas and Kim Carter Dickman of Dallas; her grandchildren, Peyton L. Dickman of Dallas, Sydney P. Dickman of Dallas and Jacob W. Dickman of Dallas; and her brother James "Bucky" Meade of Coeburn, VA. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
