He was predeceased by: his wife Kay; his son Timothy; and his great grandchild Alexander Thomas. He is survived by: his sons, Dan Reed (Betty) of Rockville and Tom Reed (Nancy) of Zionsville; his daughter-in-law Diana Reed of Lowell; his grandchildren, Carrie Murzyn (Ryan), Keith Armstrong, Scott (Jean), Todd (Loryn), Tyler (Tiffany) and Luke Reed; his great grandchildren, Jayece Kay Sharples, Addyson, McKenna, Jillian Murzyn, Katherine, Elayna, Timothy, Logan Reed, Harrison Reed, Lincoln and Jack Reed; and his siblings, Annette Sharkey (Ed), Jeff Reed, Charles Reed, Jr. and Sandra Fulayter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to either the Lake or Porter County 4-H extension clubs.
