He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth and Mildred; and his brother Ronald Merkel. He is survived by: his former wife Diana Miller; his children, Doug, Josette Sheets and Melisa Merkel; his grandchildren, Veronica Danko, Kenny Merkel, Kelli Merkel, Natalie Cotungo (John) and Jessie Merkel; his great grandchildren, Adalyna Merkel, Oliver Danko and Luca Cotugno; his brother Howard Merkel; his grandson Ollie; and his pet Bella.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tri-Creek Education Foundation, in honor of Kenny's immense love for his grandchildren.
