He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard and Rose. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Brian (Deborah) of Naples, FL, Colleen Tiernan (Paul) of Valparaiso and Vicki McLean of Lowell; his grandchildren, Lauren, Marissa, Halle Dawson, Stewart, Audrey Tiernan and Kamryn McLean; and his brother Ronald (Rose Marie) of Kentland. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the American Kidney Foundation or American Cancer Society.
