She was predeceased by: her husband Glen Shanks. She is survived by: her parents, Walker Smith and Pearl Smith (Goss) of West Virginia; her children, Alan Shanks (Cindy) and Anna Holding (Mike); her grandchildren, Timothy Holding (Leah), Rebecca Hollander (Stephen), Jonathan, Jessica Nail (Denny) and Courtney Diescher (Michael); her great grandchildren, Andrew, Zoey, Emmilyn Holding, Benjamin, Emily Hollander, Anthony Matthews, Rylee Nail and Lexi Shanks; and her siblings, Robert Lee Smith, Margaret Smith Bello, Helen Smith Steves, Patricia Smith Miles, Diana Smith Pompie and Roger Dean Smith. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
