He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Earl and Mary Louise Pannell (Colburn); his son Michael Rex Pannell; and his siblings, Don Howard Pannell (Susan), Kenneth Earl Pannell and Thomas R. Pannell.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Pannell of Loogootee; his children, Nanette Michelle Hembree (Aaron) of Loogootee, Angela Louise Pannell and Cori Lee Lukomski (Tim) of Loogootee; his grandchildren, Meagan Louise Friede, Gregory Scott Pannell, Tanner Skye Akles, Frankie Michael Dillon (Talitha), Isaac Jaron Dillon and Lilian Rose Lukomski; his great grandchildren, Areanna Nicole Friede, Zoey Renee Friede and Nevaeh Talitha Dillon; his daughter-in-law Michelle Pannell of Loogootee; and his sister-in-law Jewell Pannell of Bloomington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
