It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael G. Burris (Loogootee, Indiana), born in Washington, Indiana, who passed away on March 5, 2020, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Burris and Mary Alberta Burris (Norris); his siblings, Joe Burris (Kay), Betty McDonald and Mary Malinda Burris; and his brother-in-law Gerald Colvin.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Burris (Schiller) of Loogootee; his children, Jarrod Burris (Amy) of Loogootee, Melinda Grow of Loogootee and Cassie Helfrich (Blake) of Haubstadt; his grandchildren, Wade (Karter Burris), Eliana, Luke (Anna Grow) and Edie (Tucker Helfrich); his siblings, Helen Colvin of Washington, Ronald Burris of Loogootee, Rick Burris of Indianapolis, Gary Burris (Wanda) of Loogootee and Carol Boyd (Ron) of Loogootee; his brothers-in-law, Jerome McDonald of Columbus, Ray Schiller (Joann) of Indianapolis, Delbert Schiller (Sandy) of Franklin and Jim Schiller (Janice) of Ireland; and also Mike. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
