He was predeceased by: his mother Lorene Zins; and his foster parents, John Matthews and Elizabeth Matthews. He is survived by: his sons, John L. Zins (Carolyn) of Otwell, Joseph L. Zins of Loogootee, Martin A. Zins (Angie) of Loogootee and Stephen P. Zins (Alicia) of Indianapolis; his grandchildren, Brad Zins, Becca Penn (Rahiem), Shelby, Peyton and Dylan Zins; and his great grandchildren, Reagan and Roman Penn.
