He was predeceased by: his parents, James Leroy and Norma Jean Godsey Farrell (Seidle); his son James Leroy Godsey; and his stepfather Paul Farrell. He is survived by: his wife Victoria L. Godsey (Brummett); his daughter Samantha Bogard (Josh) of Indianapolis; his grandchildren, Malikhai and Violett; and his siblings, Darren Godsey (Peggy) of Fayetteville and Tracy Holtsclaw (Scott).
