He was predeceased by: his parents, James Glen and Mary Juanita Dant (Padgett); his sisters, Helen Ellis and Mary Rose McGuire (Bob); and his grandson-in-law James Northcutt.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Mae Dant of Loogootee; his children, Harold L. Jr. "Sonny" Dant (Nancy) of Odon, Ronnetta Faye Shake of Huntingburg and James LeRoy Dant (Crystal) of Washington; his grandchildren, Audra Mae O'Neill (Barney), Ashton Lee Northcutt, Deric John Lee Shake (Ashley), D'Andrea Dawn Stoll (Allen), Deven Bruce Shake (Alisha) and Alexis Danyelle Dant; his sister Marcella Flint (Phil) of Washington; and his brother-in-law Bill Ellis. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. John Catholic Cemetery, St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, or Raglesville Cemetery.
