She was predeceased by: her parents, William A. Cahill and Clara E. Cahill (Graves); her husband Jerome P. Matthews; her sons, Denny Matthews and Bob Matthews; her grandson Eric Baker; and her siblings, John Cahill, Marcella Cahill, Josephine Dunn and Miriam Cahill.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Matthews (Jerry) of Jefferson, Georgia, Jerry Matthews (Cathy) of Indianapolis, Kevin Matthews of Evansville, Mark Matthews (Beth) of Westfield and Mary Lou Matthews of Loogootee; and her daughters-in-law, Kay Matthews and Roberta Matthews. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Vincent De Paul.
