She was predeceased by: her parents, George Francis and Clara Laveda Padgett (Crane); her husband James Smith; her siblings, Juanita Dant, Sidney Padgett, Josephine Strange, Esther Kamplain, Guy Padgett, Lester Padgett, James Padgett and Gerald Padgett; and her granddaughter-in-law Missy Wagler.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Smith (Donna) of Tipton, Clara Kavanaugh (Mark) of Greenwood, Bernie Smith (Mary Ann) of Loogootee, Denny Smith (Lisa) of Odon, Rita Wagler (Fred) of Loogootee, George Smith of Bloomington and Kathy Tolbert (Vance) of Montgomery; and her grandchildren, Mallory Cotterman (Josh), Adam Tolbert, Shane Tolbert, Lucas Tolbert, Kristina Kakasuleff (Jared), Anthony Smith, Leslie Kavanaugh, Jenna Cline (Bill), Derrick Wagler, Mitchell Wagler (Trish), Tyler Wagler, Heather Smith, Jared Smith and Shawna Prange (Chris). She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren.
