He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer H. Spears and Mary E. Stoll; and his siblings, Elmer L. Spears, Larry Spears, Judy Bruner (Bob), Alberta Beatty (Charles), Mary Jo Blackman (Jim) and Paulette Eichmiller.
He is survived by: his sister Patricia S. Fischer (Tom) of Cannelburg; and his siblings-in-law, Marlene Smith of Odon, Kathy Sims of Loogootee and Fred Eichmiller of Loogootee. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
