He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Abel and Direthia Abel (Wininger); his son Randy Abel; and his brothers, Roy Abel and Donnie Abel.
He is survived by: his wife Darcus Howell; his children, Eric Abel, David Abel and Rochelle Dawn; his grandchildren, Kayla, Danielle, Olivia Abel, Jennifer Holland and Dalton Abel; and his siblings, Darrell Abel, Harold Abel and Shirley Wraley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
