He is survived by: his son Wade Eugene McVay, Jr. of Monticello; his parents, Judy Spencer of Logansport and Wayne McVay of Logansport; and his siblings, Danny Spencer of Logansport and Lynn Layman (Jay Dee) of Royal Center. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and several great nieces.
