He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kaley and Bodie Kaley (Lang); his son Phillip Kaley; and his granddaughter Hannah Kaley. He is survived by: his wife Anna V. Kaley (Carpenter); his children, Kathy Kaley-Shepard of Logansport, Chuck Shepard of Logansport, Sonny of Logansport, Judy Kaley of Logansport, Nathaniel and Jen Kaley of Tennessee; and his close friend Pastor Buddy Holder. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
