He was loved and cherished by many people including: his siblings, James "Jim", Dorothea "Dottie" and Geraldine "Geri"; his significant other Patricia Boe (Bruner); his father-in-law Lowell Bruner; his daughter Lisa Helm (Mark); his grandchildren, Clayton Seyfried, Alexis Seyfried and Tate Helm; his son Aaron Boe (Lauren); his grandson Kegan Boe (Kimberly); his great grandchildren, Kallahan and Kerrigan Boe; his grandchildren, Natalie, Jack, Maggie and James Ole Boe; his children, Fredrick Tongi, Christine Kalia and Lillian Mwangi of Nairobi, Kenya.; his uncle Ole; and also James "Jim" Boe. He was also cherished by his two kids, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
