He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas, Sr. Ream and Millicent Helen Ream (Bolton); his former wife Beverly Ream; his wife Dorothy Bolin; his children, Jeff Ream and Mary Anderson; his siblings, Dorothea May, Nicholas Ream, Jr., Steve Ream and Robert Ream; and his son-in-law Victor Korreckt.
He is survived by: his children, Etta Conrad of Logansport, Kimberley Hughes (David) of Logansport, Laura Forgey (Michael) of Logansport, Cynthia Ream of Logansport, Barbara Korreckt of Walton, Dennis Ream (Tanya) of Royal Center and Kenneth Ream of Burnettsville; and his brothers, Tom Ream (Ruth) of Michigan City, John Ream (Alice) of Michigan City and Charles Ream (Kit) of Culver. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.
