He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Vincent Penz and Anice "Polly" Penz; his children, Nanette Penz-Reuter (Mike) of Fountain Hills, AZ, Natalie Calisto (David) and Troy Penz (Amy); his sister Judith Pearson; his siblings-in-law, John Barrett and Sarah Barrett of Logansport; his grandchildren, Adrian, Alex, Matthew Calisto (Makinsey), Rachel Calisto, Jillian and Conner Penz; his wife Mary Ann Penz; and his sister Helen Kalata. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made out to "Freedom Hunt", a local non-profit organization providing special needs children the opportunity to hunt, fish and camp.
