He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Carmichael and Hazel Carmichael (Anderson); his grandsons, Timothy Carmichael and Andrew Carmichael; and his siblings, Shirley Tipton, Ruby Frederick, Joanne Potter, Jack Carmichael of Fort Wayne, IN, Donald Carmicheal, Norman Carmichael and Harley Gene Carmichael.

He is survived by: his children, Beth Weaver (Randy) of Logansport, IN, Kenneth E. Carmichael Jr. (Becky) of Logansport, IN, Timothy Carmichael of Logansport, IN, Russell Carmichael (Jennifer Hughes) of Logansport, IN and Kevin Carmichael (Jody) of Murfreesboro, TN; his siblings, William Carmichael of Avilla, IN, Phillip Carmicheal (Lila) of Logansport, IN, Alice Marks of Kouts, IN, Mary Akers of Schererville, IN, Kathryn Neill of Clearwater, FL and Sharon Garringer of Fort Wayne, IN; and his grandchildren, Kerry Stevens (James), Megan Begley (Mike), Callie Weaver, Tia Jameson (David), Abbie Daily (Blake), Alix Tribbett (Nick), Jessica Carmichael (Mason Tompkins), Brandt Carmichael and Bryce Weaver (Laci). He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
