He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin W. Woodruff and Edna (Brewer); and his brother Timothy Woodruff. He is survived by: his close friend Julie Nagel; his daughter Morgan Woodruff of Bradenton, FL; his grandson Parker Johns; his siblings, James "Jim" Woodruff (Linda), Frankie Woodruff and Cindy Sommer of Indianapolis; his stepsiblings, Richard Dehaven, Darla Miller and Myra Lincoln; and also, Julie Nagel, Taylor White (Matt) and Don Thornburgh (Danielle).
Memorials in Shorty's honor may be made to the Elk's Lodge #66 (1100 N. 3rd St., Logansport), or to the Dykeman Clubhouse Project via the Logansport Parks and Recreation Foundation (1701 Dividend Drive, Logansport).
