“I knew Katie a little and considered her a friend. I met her while working at DCS, she and I bonded over our love for our dogs. Katie was an amazing, wonderful, compassionate, extremely smart and fierce woman. In court I always felt protected when she was by my side; she was an amazing attorney because of her passion to help others. This world is going to struggle a little more now without her in it. My heart goes out to you with my sincerest condolences. She will truly be missed.”
