He was predeceased by: his half-brother Jack Hettinger. He is survived by: his parents, John F. Hettinger and Elizabeth Evelyn Farris Hettinger; his children, Ashley Bolin (Zach) and Nicholas "Nick" Hettinger; his sister Debra Kay Birnell (Albert); his grandson Grayson Bolin; and also Ardell Hettinger. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
