He is survived by: his wife Judy Best (Truax); his children, Julie Dilts (Joe) of Logansport, Jim Best (Jami) of Logansport and Jill Wilson (Brian) of Logansport; his grandchildren, Chad Warner (Stacy), Brandon Warner, Seth Wicker (Nicol), Beau Wicker, Lauren Best-Shuck (Tony) and Jenna Wicker; and his great grandchildren, Jada Warner, Rachel Warner, Maci Wicker, Lynley Wicker, Cameron Morrow, Jameson Best-Shuck and Annelise Best-Shuck.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Cass County Humane Society.
