He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Coffin and Eleanor Coffin (Richardson); his wife Norma J. Moore; and his sons-in-law, Mike Roller and Ed Johnson.

He is survived by: his children, Deborah Lynn Roller, Patricia Ann Johnson, John Richard Coffin (Sue), David Alan Coffin (Melissa) of Portage, MI and Todd Lee Coffin (Rhonda); his siblings, Kenneth Coffin (Kathryn) and Dorothy Cox of Sunbury, OH; his grandchildren, Melissa Sturdivant, Kristina Stetz, Katherine Phillipy (Garrett), Kevin Coffin (Carmen), Brittany Coffin, Emily Coffin and David Johnson (Mianda); his great grandchildren, Brianna LaOrange (Tyler), Savannah Sturdivant, Allison Stetz, Morgan Stetz, Lauren Stetz, Blaze Coffin, David Johnson and Zane Johnson; and his great great grandchildren, Nova LaOrange and Mason Lopez.
