It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dora Jean Chapman of Logansport, Indiana, who passed away on December 25, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Hickman and Mildred Hickman (Raderstorf); her spouse Wray W. Chapman; her son-in-law Robert Hayden; and her grandson Thomas Strahlem.
She is survived by: her daughter Susie Nelson (Michael) of Lafayette; and her grandchildren, Tony Hayden (Marci), Lori Barkas (George), Jill Smith (Carl), Sami Callaway (Chris) and Kenny Hayden. She is also survived by twenty-six great-grandchildren; and forty-five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Logansport Chapel (1801 Chase Rd, Logansport, IN 46947). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Interment will follow in the Shideler Cemetery, In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cause for Paws.
