He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross E. Miller and Ethel E. Horstman Miller; his wife Carolyn "Sue" Sholty; his children, Mark Miller, Patricia Miller and Cynthia Miller; and his grandson Scott Thomas.

He is survived by: his daughter Karla Thomas (Jerry); his grandchildren, Kyle Thomas, Meghan Miller, Angela Miller and Austin Miller; and his great grandchild Tristan Thomas.
