He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry and Mary Simons (Tippet); and his siblings, John Simons, Jr., Wilbur Simons, Exie Parker and Sue Sanderson.
He is survived by: his children, Linda McGill (Larry) of New Palestine, Barb Conn (Don) of Royal Center, Carl "Butch" Simons, Jr. of Logansport and Pam Hughes of Kokomo; and his grandchildren, Tia Loya (Randy), Tiffany Ingram, Khara Ringen (Jesse), Krysta Abrams (Brandon), Jake Conn (Kylie), Adam Simons, Melanie Simons, Stephanie Shively and Brandon Shively. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchild.
