With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Billy James Austin of Logansport, Indiana, born in Bald Knob, Arkansas, who passed away on December 15, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Mae (Holden) and James Henry Austin; his wife Velma June Rose; and his sister Mary Enochs. He is survived by: his children, Alrita Morehead (Kent) of Logansport, Greg Austin (Tina) of Logansport and James Austin (Karma) of Washington, MO; his siblings, Joseph Austin, Martha Sitzes, Phyllis St. Claire and Ann Newman; and his grandchildren, Laura Lapcheska, Stephanie Dragoo (David), Cameron Austin (Siarra), Tanner Austin (Sarah), Tracy Austin and Tyler Austin (Bethany). He is also survived by five great- grandchildren.
