She was predeceased by: her parents, Leland W. Smith and Laura Smith (Brotherton); her children, JaNay Head and Jerrol Hankins; and her stepmother Amy Reynolds.
She is survived by: her husband Earl "Hank" M. Hankins; and her children, Joyce Sutton (David) of Galveston and John Hankins (Sharon) of Leo, IN. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
